The formula is built on mineral silicates and seaweed extract. As it dries, they form an ultra-thin, flexible film that gently draws the skin's surface taut — visibly softening the shadows that make lines and pores read as deep.

A sheer mineral tint (from mica and iron oxides) is blended in specifically to neutralize white cast, so the film disappears into a wide range of skin tones instead of sitting on top of them.

Supporting the film: Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) and Glycerin to draw in moisture, Vitamin E as an antioxidant, and Comfrey Root Extract to help offset the tight, dry feeling that tightening formulas can leave behind.

This works beautifully — but only if you use it correctly, and the technique takes one or two tries to learn. We'd rather tell you now than have you frustrated on day one.

Less product than you think. A dime-size amount covers the entire face. Too much is the number one cause of white residue.

Your skin must be clean and completely dry. Oil, serum or moisturizer left on the skin will weaken the effect. If you use moisturizer, let it fully absorb first.

You have to stay still for about 5 minutes. No talking, smiling or squinting while it sets. Set a timer, scroll your phone, don't make faces.

Never layer onto a dry layer. If you need more, add it while the first pass is still wet. Layering over dry product is the other cause of white residue.

Exfoliate beforehand if your skin is flaky. The film clings to dry patches.

Get those five things right and it's effortless.

1. Cleanse with a non-oily cleanser. Rinse well.
2. Exfoliate if your skin is flaky or textured today.
3. Pat completely dry. Skip moisturizer, or let it fully absorb.
4. Shake the tube well.
5. Dispense a dime-size amount onto the back of your hand. Pick up a small amount with a fingertip or dry makeup brush.
6. Spread a thin, even layer onto your target areas or full face. Add more only while the first layer is still wet.
7. Stay expressionless for 5 minutes while it sets.
8. Once dry, pat away any visible residue with a damp cotton swab. Apply makeup as normal.

For external use only. Avoid the eye area and eyelids. Discontinue if irritation occurs and rinse with cool water. Keep out of reach of children.
